Finally, it looks like we're headed for warmer weather hopefully from now on. The 70's feel pretty good right now. I also feel more motivated to keep going & get this extra 20+ pounds I've put on this last year. Exercise has never been a problem. It's my eating that trips me up, and the fact I'm now in my mid 40's, and have hypothyroidism. It really bugs me that all my workout clothes tops especially are clingy on me around the stomach, and I have rolls I didn't have. Sometimes I get frustrated that I have to work so hard when other people don't seem to have too. That's just reality though. I've done it before, and I can again. My daughters seem to have a much easier time of it . I'm real proud of my sixteen year old daughter. She's really been exercising consistently, and has overhsulec get eating. She's list 20 pounds over the last six months. It's helped her overall attitude, and self esteem. It's something we have in common. We go to the gym together a lot during the week. Sometimes her boyfriend comes with us too. I just need to get motivated again to work on my eating. I did so well for a long time. I maintained the same weight and size for quite a few years. Somewhere along the way I kinda stopped paying attention, & keeping track. I gained some weight, and a little more, & more. It's like every time I step on the scale I've gained more. My 16 yr old daughter weights less than me now even though she's a good 2 1/2 inches talker than me. At this rate I won't be able to for in my summer clothes - not good!!!
So here I am again. I need to start again. It's frustrating to say the very least , but it can be done. I've got 2 friends that have gone through gastric bypass within the last few years. I'm so proud of them both. I don't think a lot of people realize its not just a quick fix. It's a lifestyle change. It takes serious commitment . They have both done so well, and it certainly hasn't been easy. My freind Lisa joined the gym and has been going regularly too. With the warmer weather u feel more motivated to get outside. Maybe I'll start running outside again. If I start now hopefully ill be in better shape when summer comes.
