In preparing for the Winter to Spring 5% challenge, I listed I would follow the Paleo style diet during the 8 week period. I got a food list from pinterest and got it ready to post on my computer background.

Soooooo, on day one (last Saturday), I put the food list on my main computer background, I was ready! I have been busy, so Saturday morning I scanned the foods to plan on what to eat for the day.

To my shock, there are no beans or rice on the food list! I had already noted there was no whole grains or dairy, now what?!?

I confessed to my DH my mistake! He has committed to exercising and dieting on this challenge with me - poor man!

Reporting in that our attitudes are in check. We are having fun with "Caveman style" eating. It has become a game of sorts. Dave even suggested buying only caveman food for the whole month! Who would have thought that this day would come so fast? In a few short weeks we will be salivating for some Black Beans and Brown Rice!!!! emoticon emoticon

    I don't get to try these things because I have a spinal injury and osteo-porosis my dietician tells me what elements should be in my diet ! However I get to try loads of exercise!I can eat any kind of protein I just can't cut out some things cause of the medications.People think I am crazy cause I feed my service dog healthy too.I will prowl through petstores for the right foods for her and won't give her anything made in China and even make homemade biscuits !

    Hmmmmmm I am not much of one for "fad dieting" , but to each their own,,,and if it WORKS FOR YOU than GOOOOO FOR IT and the FACT ur H is on the TRAIN w/ U WOWZERS !!

    Caveman huh? GOOOOO FOR IT !! Hmmm "Jokingly" of course,,, does this mean ALSO Rats have to be eaten? LOL I SOOO BAD !!! or BATS?????? WHO KNOWS what they REALLY ATE !!

    You are much stronger than i ever could be...just ├žan't get that far away from the other kinds of foods. Good for you for making it work for both of you!! emoticon emoticon

    Yes, I would miss whole grains and beans a lot, too. Currently I'm doing 40 days of fruits, veggies, meat [which for me is chicken breast or fish], and 1/2 a slice of bread per day. Don't know what the diet is called but it seemed like a good idea at the time. I'm halfway through the 40 days and I'm planning a bean-binge already.
