I read another blog post who suggested looking at yourself in the mirror for 5 minutes and only think positive things. If a negative thought creeps in, you have to start all over. I decided to try it and low and behold, I couldn't do it. I immediately began to criticize every inch of my body. Realizing how negative my view of myself was a little frightening. I didn't know how I was sabotaging myself with all that negative talk. I felt defeated when I couldn't do the exercise. To change my thinking, I had to tell myself all the wonderful things this body has allowed me to do and as I get healthier and fitter, it has allowed me to do so much more.
