Life is sometimes hard stressful and messy. It is rushed nerve racking and blood pumping but not in a good day. There are fears, anguish, deadlines ,cutbacks, stock drops ,delays layovers and holding your breathe experiences.
All this stress real or perceived cause lack of sleep, bad eating habits, and sometimes ill health both mental and physical. That is why your doctor often asks "What is going on in your life. ?"
How do fix the fast paced merry go round we live in , step off the ride. Learn to say no when needed. I am to busy to help right know but thanks think of me in the future. Walk away if someone is causing you too much drama day after day , spend less time with them , still feeling stressed that is a strong signal to walk away.
You spend 8 hrs or more at your job, you are probably there more than you are home. You need to find the stress triggers there , try to fix them or control them, I am doing this at my next department meeting I found some things in my job I find stressful and I have solutions which I am bringing to my boss's attention, I have also started drinking tea , which for some reason because I told myself it did, it relaxes me. I bring salads my favorite for lunch and a small piece of chocolate, something to look forward to all day. I also am better connecting with the other girls ,I show them new product in my cartons,I will never be as close as they are but we are closer.
Once home go for a walk , preferably in nature. Practice being quiet and just breathe. Make your home life as relaxing as possible. Turn off the TV if you are not watching something, put on soothing music, read a book. "Do your best and forget the rest." Tony Horton
A couple times a week hit the gym or the Dvd's or trails for some heart pumping cardio. Blog away your problems or write them down and tear them up. Learn new and better ways to take care of you. Learn and practice being less stressed just like you do with any job, Breathe Just Breathe.
