Dump The Frump!

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

It is a new day and a great time to re-focus on what is important. I have spent way too many days wondering what happened and what my problem was. It is time to just let the past go and get things in gear and move toward the goal!

So I really want to say that I am sorry that I have been the "FRUMP-o-MATIC" lately. I hadn't realized it until I went back and watched some of my vlogs. I think I need to do that from time to time! lol

Special thanks to my girl Steph for bringing me back to reality. I would also like to thank Sam and Pixie for their encouragement and support. You ladies are emoticon

It can be so easy to just slip back into those bad habits that we have worked so hard to get away from. We forget the accomplishments that we have made. We forget how good we feel when we exercise, eat right and drink our water. We forget the feeling of success when we can fit into clothes that we haven't been able to wear in a while.

We have got to stop and look at what we have accomplished. I drank 18 glasses of water today!!! Yeah I am happy about that because I had gotten away from drinking water and it has come back to bite me in the butt. I feel so good about drinking water today!! It is a small thing (some might say) but I sure am happy and proud of myself for doing it.

What did you do TODAY to move you forward toward your goal? Okay so maybe you didn't do anything today. That is okay, you can change that tomorrow. What will you do? Will you drink 8 glasses of water? Will you do at least 10 minutes of exercise? Will you track all the food that you eat? Will you plan your goals for March? Will you plan your menu for the next week and create your grocery list? Will you eat at least 5 servings of freggies?

Let's dump the frump and live our lives on the healthy track. emoticon We are worth it. Planning and focus are key. Let's plan the journey and start taking the steps to move down the road to our goals!

DUMP THE FRUMP!!!

Good-by F-o-M, Hello happy and lively Susan. I'm with you. Right now I'm putting my foot down, removing the track from my body, washing the tracks off my face, and going back to first things. I've been telling myself a few more days won't matter, it won't take me long to lose these few extra pounds that I've gained until I've put back on 25#. Who'm I tryin' to kid?! No more!
    Love ya, Toots,

Great blog Susan! I have been away for a while - was on a trip, so I am having to get into my program & plan too, so your blog really spoke to me. I always find encouragement and inspiration in what you share - whenever I need a pep talk I go back and reread your blogs, or listen to your vlogs.
Thanks for sharing and for your honesty in where you are.
And I love the new hair cut!

Good for you: you plan to dump the frump!
The journey is not easy; it's a gut-level look into the mirror - beyond the image to the heart of the matter. And you are LOOKING at yourself with honesty, establishing some positives. Go for it and keep on going. Step by step. Consider some little phrases to use as mantras to help. Some choice mantras? Move your parts. Do it. I can, so I will! Those are just some. Fill you mind with non-frump thoughts, leaving those excuses and regrets in the past: you are ready to roll forward!

I'd say your water was quite an accomplishment....especially when I see so many whining about how HARD is it to drink 4-6 glasses.

I definitely felt your discomfort when I listened to you talking.

There is one thing I want to check from your written blog, though... I love the title, too, but I just want to check. Did you mean to say you drank 18 glasses of water? Not 8 glasses? There is such a thing as too much water, which overloads your kidneys and alters your body's electrolyte levels, can be dangerous to your heart, etc... it can send you to the hospital.

If you meant 6-10 glasses of water, way to go... and here's to dumping the frump and getting glorious. (I, myself, have been accused of being a lumberjack and one of my teachers implied I was a man recently, so I can't say I'm not a frumpomatic in need of getting glorious, myself.)

Honor what you have done right and forgive yourself for the slips. Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Good morning, I just read your blog and can so much identify with everything you said. We have to live in the "now", and take small steps daily Sue. We will get there, thank you for your honesty. We just need to make better choices, better decisions. And move our bodies more, I am going to try the music with a little dancing later, I can manage that fine today, lol. Keep going girl, we will get there. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Okay creepy stalker status first... I'm only 3 minutes in and I am nodding along with you as though we are having a conversation. Yep, I'm weird. But I just keep agreeing with you. I am so proud of you for laying this all out there. emoticon

Okay back to watching and nodding in agreement... more comment to follow.

The stuff you come up with cracks me up, "frump-o-matic", I am so glad you are shutting it off because only you know where that switch is to flip that sucker off. emoticon

I love everything you said there, I even have tears in my eyes. I am so proud of you for stepping up for putting it out there, and everything. I hear a woman with no excuses. I see a woman saying this is what happened, it is what it is, and this is how it's going to be moving forward.

Back to stalker status, my mom knows about you because you are my Spark BFF and I was telling her much I care for you and I want to see you do well and even she was rooting you on because she knows I'm not a big fan of people in general, and so if I adore you then you must be pretty flippin special! emoticon

You do not have to thank me for anything, it is a privilege for me to be included in your journey and to be your friend. I enjoy our talks and our private moments and I will always be there for you. Man, this message is total stalker status, am I going to get served with a restraining order soon?! LOVE YOU LOL. emoticon emoticon
