So, I've been in Korea for 3 months now.
For those three months I've been a member of a very nice gym where I ran on a treadmill three days a weak and did weight lifting two days a week. All was well, until February rolled around...And suddenly, I lost all desire to go to the gym, I concluded that it was because I was bored. I was tired of doing the same things, seeing the same people (but not talking or being talked to because HEY I don't speak Korean...yet), and so yeah. I decided it was time to change stuff.
So, I dragooned another American into joining me, and we are starting dance lessons in March. I am very excited.
Until that happens though, I've been running down by the river in my town, and doing spark strength videos. Yeah. I got into the habit of thinking if I wasn't lifting weights then there was no point of doing 'body weight' exercises. Then I did the sparkpeople lower body six minute video....ouch. Yeah, so tired after that. Then I tried to do fifteen push-ups, modified, but I could not, I could only just barely push out ten. Then today my abs hurt SO SO SO bad.
Anyway, I ran by the river in Jinju today. It was pretty, and misty and no one else was there, so I could just run and listen to my music and exhaust myself. I ran 1.9 miles this morning and started to explore my town a little more. I need to find a way to bring my cell phone with me then I can take pictures of where I have been, and the strange things that are in Jinju.
