~ MEMORIES ~

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:

Some memories are realities ... and are better than anything that can
ever happen to one again.

Willa Cather

:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:. .:~*~:

One thing that is nice with getting olfder is all the memories. I even appreciate the hard and sad memories because it makes me proud that I handled it and survived. When my grandmother got really old her childhood memories were stronger for her than her more recent I hope for that to happen. The hard times as mentinoned above tend to disappear in my memories, I remember mostly the joy and sunny days.

Yesterday I wrote the article I have been dreading to write since I started to postpone it two weeks ago. As it is when I wait too long, it was a lot of work compared to what it would have been if I had done it as soon as I had done the interview. .

8 of march is coming up and there is a lot of celebrations of feminism coming up. I note that I feel jealous because nobody asks me to give a speech or lecture... should remind me about how quick ones contributions are forgotten, I was once a prominent profile of feminism in this region...and I was not too happy about it then so why do I feel left out now?

One good thing about humans is that usually only the nice, positive memories are the ones that stay. But as far as myself, sad memories are also good for my living.
I would love for you to share with us your articles and whatever you have on feminism, I have always been that myself, along with bein a rebel and always defending what I have taight is our rights.

I love this blog entry. Memories can be our lifeline at times - bothe the good and bad.Sometimes it seems as soon as one is out of the limelight, they are forgotten along with their accomplishments. This is one thing that bothers me about todays people in their 30's and 40's. It seems they don't care about anything that was done before they made their appearance!! So many today are against unions but enjoy their 8 hour days along with their 5 day work week and health benefits. They don't seem to realize that me died to get those things for every working person. That is only one example I an think of right now.
