A day at the beach and then no lights!

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

I took some time to get back to nature. I read that beauty (experiencing profoundly the beauty of nature) can produce endorphins and provide energy to power our motivation to reach our goals. So, I soaked up the sunshine, entered the waves, took in the beauty of the scene. I breathed in the good salty air and ate very clean.

Who brings the Bible to the Beach? I did and read 40 pages. The undertow is very strong. I will take that magnitude of pull and strength and incorporate it into my own program.

I am strong and I can do this!

P.S. The reference to no lights means that we had a power outage when I got home from the beach. But now it is restored.

I have been getting out into nature more lately, so the withdrawal from the computer was less severe. I went outside and read a book instead of reading online.

Your nature plan sounds like it's going to be exactly the thing for motivation! It's so clever of you to have combined it with reducing computer time, increasing spiritual time, and helping your body's endorphins help you!

When you said "nature" I thought of what's outside my windows (hills and forests) which I dearly love, but when you mentioned the beach a big smile formed all by itself on my face. :) Sun, sand, gulls, waves, shells and the smell of salt... You gave me a trip to the ocean in your blog - what an absolutely lovely gift!

Hope your today is beautiful! :) Gail
