Last night I went to bed with my upper back/neck hurting. So I rearranged my nest, and slept pretty well, except I woke up with my low back hurting. I did a very short bout of basic physical therapy - just a couple of minutes was all I could really do this morning, but did manage to walk at least a mile between walking at work and going to the grocery store. Then I stood up for some time chopping and prepping supper.
At work, my sweet DH sent me a text saying he felt pretty crummy, in fact, he called and made an appointment with his doctor for tomorrow, and asked me if I would make chicken soup, and stop at the grocery for a few things.
So I stopped and got the goods, and came home and chopped, and cooked a nice chicken and rice soup with fresh celery, mushrooms, onions, carrots, and of course some of our leftover chicken. I know my dh likes more salt than I do, but I didn't intend on making it that salty. I added more water, vinegar, more water, a little sugar, more water. My husband checked on Google, and it said if you oversalt something, you can add distilled white vinegar to cut the salt. I only had wine vinegar, so I tried that. It is tasty, but I told him it is probably not as bad as I think, as I really limit my salt intake. It was tasty, and he enjoyed it. I also brought home fresh oranges, orange juice, and a few other little things I thought he might like.
Although I didn't get in as much exercise, I have been careful with my eating today.
breakfast - oatmeal with apples, coffee
snack - banana, string cheese
lunch - v-8, cheese, yogurt, almonds
afternoon snack - orange juice
dinner - chicken and rice soup and half an orange
