***** 3 gratitudes **********
I am thankful that I am starting to grow some inches on my short fuse. I have been so irritable the last few days and am starting to gain a little more patience.

I am thankful for a wonderful and well needed sleep.

I am thankful that my blood work was rescheduled as it fits tomorrow’s schedule better than todays.

***** Journaling **********
Today we were talking about addictions in our guidance class. We did an exercise that there was all these obstacles in a path. One person was picked as the student and there was a basketball coach, parents, friends, girlfriend, teacher, school councillor, and classmates chosen. In the path are things like drugs, alcohol, caffeine, sports, cutting, bullying, smoking, school, and other things that people can get caught up in. Some are good and some are bad. The student is blindfolded and all the other people navigate him through the course depending on their role. There was one point that Trent who was the student in the exercise said, “Everyone shut up. I just want to hear from Mom.” We talked about that. Some students will get to a point and they will turn to their mothers. There are some students who their mother is the last person they would turn to. It was a good exercise you could do with students about addiction, choices, or bullying just by changing what is put in the course.

***** Exercise **********
6 minute cardio paired with yoga

***** Meditation **********
20 minute yoga session

***** RAK **********
I am making the marinade for Beef Teriyaki. I am doing a batch for my Literacy class for our last class on Thursday and a batch for Mom and Dad since I’ll be gone that evening.

You know you’re 70’s old school when you can still picture Lt. Columbo, the shuffling, disorganized – looking police detective played by actor Peter Falk, that your parents loved to watch. – I loved it too and I do still remember.
