This was challenging! I see a lot of TV-themed games online, but I've cut down on my TV watching quite a bit lately. I do go to work every day, though, so that's the theme of my workout game.
Every incoming email = March in place 1 minute
Every outgoing email = Drink water
Complete a task = 20 squats
Every phone call = 25 wall pushups
Every hour = Take a lap around the floor
Bathroom break = 30 jumping jacks
Lunch break = 20 lunges
I tend to let myself get glued to my desk throughout the day, so this will be a nice way to get moving. I usually do squats and incline pushups during a bathroom break, but that doesn't help me the other 9 hours I'm here!
I'm keeping the jumping jacks with the bathroom breaks because, well, it's less embarrassing to do jumping jacks in an empty bathroom than in a cubicle. I did some jumping jacks in the bathroom last week and my pants fell down. No one needs to see that!
Mini challenge: Post an inspirational quote or image.
When I run, I often repeat this quote to myself. It's totally true! One second, I'm thinking that my legs are going to fall off and I can't possibly run another step. And the next, I repeat this quote and there I am, still running. Running is a mental challenge, losing weight is a mental challenge, all of it is - at least for me. My body is capable of incredible things, and so is my mind, if I just keep going.
