Biggest Loser: Be Yourself Episode

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

You all know the show - how it's driving me crazy! emoticon I love the determination of the trainers but the contestants I just wish realized the privileged they are being given - one that many people are literally dying to be given a chance. I always tell my husband that I would be the contestant that would be crying the entire workout session. It wouldn't be from fighting my inner demons though but rather loving the pain that I was bringing myself knowing that I was doing the body good. Sometimes we have to work through the pain to get up to the next level. So the tears would be happy, determined tears - not "poor me" tears. What's your opinion of the season? (please no spoilers, I am not all the way up-to-date) emoticon

On a lighter note: Look at those bodies! All the contestants look wonderful! They look happier than ever and really are showing their true selves week after week. It's such an inspiration.

So, you might have noticed I've been missing a few days. Well, that's because the last few days we have been graced with sunshine! Just in case you didn't get any it looks like this - emoticon . The hubster and I have been outside every second, even in 30F weather. If the sun is out and the temps are above 30F (my limit) we are out there having fun. The furry baby and I have been going on 1.25mile walks at least once and sometimes twice a day depending on my work schedule. Then the hubby and I went hiking on Hazel Grove Battlefield in VA which is about a 1.7 mile rather easy hike. (I carried the furry baby 1/2 way on my back) Then we also went running a 5K on Sunday and running last night too (Monday). Wow, it was just really nice to get out in the sunshine and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. We have also noticed a lot of green thumbs in our area. How about yours?

Here's the photos from this last weekend so you can get an idea on what you could be doing for exercise in VA.

I'm so jealous of your weather!!!

We're supposed to be getting 15-25 cm (6-10 inches) of snow tonight and tomorrow.

I can't wait for spring! Glad you're enjoying it!

I get upset when they get all weepy over "only" losing 2 lbs or 4lbs a week. In the real world, that would be worth jumping up and down for joy. I understand their program is much more intense (and harder to maintain in the long term as a result) but be real, they had a loss, they have the tools that if they do go home, they can succeed. Don't knock the couple of pounds. (I was yelling this at my tv the other night when the hubby and I were watching it)

I don't watch the, no opinion.
Glad you were able to get out in the sun. It's been sunny but chilly here, too. Our Sunday run was about 35*.
