So Saturday morning was the Cowtown 10k. It was only about 29 degrees when we started out the day. There were four of us girls doing it together and we met up at 4am. Even at 4am we are a loud bunch of women.
Two of the girls are runners and the other two of us are the walkers. We just agree to meet up at the end.
My walking buddy and i have always walked 6 miles as our base line so this was no big deal. BUT when you add the competitiveness to the mix it kind of changes things up a bit. Our normal time is right around 1hr and 50 minutes. Our goal was to complete this race in under 1hr and 45 mins

Woo hoo! We are in the pack getting ready for the start!
So before hand we were told that the course os pretty flat. Flat, i guess, is determined by each individual.
The first 3 miles were a piece of cake. OH...side note: By 6am i had already drank 6 glasses of water. I had gone drinking the night before and wanted to make sure i was hydrated.
ok, so by mile 4 i could feel my bladder. By mile 5 i had to stop and use the port-o-potty. We timed it at about 3 minutes. WHEW! So what was my finishing time...1hr 48mins and 43 secs. HAD I NOT STOPPED TO PEE WE WOULD HAVE MADE OUR GOAL TIME!!!!!
