Yesterday I woke up at 4:45am with my alarm, but decided I was too tired and it was too cold outside, so I went back to sleep. Remove a gold star for that one.
But, this morning I woke up at 5:15 and knew I needed to get moving, so I went for a 3 mile run. That's the longest I've run since the middle of December. I got tired during the last mile and slowed, some, but still finished in 30:13. And when I got back? I felt great.
During my run I decided three things.
1) 39 degrees isn't really that cold.
2) I need to run more often, but still make it to the gym at least twice a week.
3) I need to run another race.
Time to make something happen.
I have a doctor's appt next week. I hope to have lost at least 2 or 3 pounds since my first visit 2 weeks ago.
Also, I have about 7 weeks until my son is born, so I need to get in all my workouts so I can look great for those newborn photos! :)
And the weather is supposed to warm up 20 degrees this weekend, so it will be great running weather! Can't wait!
