Once again I'm stuck home with a sick kid. The difference today is that it's the younger one, so I can't be away too long. I'm lucky enough to be able to bring the not as sick kid to the bus or as far as one of my neighbors apartment doors for a quick hello, but beyond that I can't do my normal routine.
I'm just hoping that he'll be feeling better by this afternoon so he can go back to school tomorrow, but I somehow doubt it. He'll end up missing out on the fun of the end of "I love to read" month. They have a carnival scheduled for tomorrow to end 'Charlotte's Web'. I hate when the kids miss fun stuff.
When I have a kid at home, I'm less likely to be able to get my morning routine done. I normally walk the park, but when I have a kid home, I just can't go that far. I like that they're getting older and I'm not completely stuck in the apartment, but I can't go far.
Now I just need to figure out other things to do to keep me active. He's busy playing on our Fire keeping Zombies at bay. I will be able to finish some of the cleaning I wanted to do since he's only so sick and not needing constant attention sick. Today will be about clearing clutter out of the home I've been hanging onto for reasons unknown even to me.
Despite being thrown off my routine, I will be able to find a different way to do things today. I may not get as many steps today, but I will do some movement!
