Went to Value Village 1/2 price day today and got myself a nice new lavender cowl neck sweater and a soft, well-fitting olive green sweater coat with the long fronts.. Took m-i-l to Wendys' and shopping and then we came to her place. I went and visited my niece and stayed for coffee and talk and also she showed me how to make those "RuffleScarves". They are very pretty, teal green, hot pink and purple variegated... But, they are just so slow and tedious to make... this will be my only one.... and if you can buy one made for $20, do the poor lady a favor and pay her at least $25... they are worth it.....


Nothing exciting. But my niece did mention that she had wanted to go to the knit-a-thon but didnt' want to go alone - which I did... but I told her she should have texted me and we could have confirmed our arrival. They know the bus schedule and were concerned that I catch my bus home... That's too bad she missed it though. I didn't know what wool to take for her. She is knitting a blanket for a 14 pregnant friend of her dd's, who will the baby just before she turns 15!!!!!! Thought I might get to see my great nephew who was born in Jan. but apparently you have to call ahead and book an appt....I never thought to suggest niece call him and see if I could have stopped by tomorrow... too late now I guess... Is it just me, or was it expected too much to at least have gotten even a texted thank you when I went him a bag of oneies and toys....and diapers...

well, gotta getto bed... talk later and I wish restful comforting sleep for everyone.../
