A very productive day!!!

Monday, February 25, 2013

Hello all, I pray your day was a good one! Mine was great! My son isn't feeling too well, there's been sooo much going on and I think he has a virus that he isn't eating like he normally does... He is usually running around full of energy and hungry every 15-30 minutes, lol.... Lately he's been laying on the furniture and barely eating and drinking anything... He ate his break fast this morning, some whole grain crackers, a string cheese, about 1/2 cup of mac n cheese, 2 small cups of juice with water. Even knowing he isn't feeling the best he helped me out with the laundry.

I scheduled our counseling appointments for next week. This Thursday they are doing the "housing" pool! They will be pulling 3 names out and my prayer is that my name will be pulled out so we can get on housing without the 3-4 year waiting list. This would get us in a safe place, plus they would pay most of our rent. This would be a huge blessing!!!!

I also did a ton of cleaning! I love the way my apartment looks!!! I got some laundry done too.... I also completed my workout for today! All in all a very successful day!

So many questions I have since all of the changes... Since I am now the head of household and I have a son to take care of, I need to have a way to provide for us. I haven't worked in approx. 10-11 years. I do have a bad back... I am thinking about maybe going back to school. Maybe get some grants and scholarships? I really don't want to have to do financial aid, because that is more debt and I really don't need that. Now days to get a job you need experience and I don't have any.... Anyone have any ideas???? I would like to do clerical work... But first things first get to a safe place, then the Lord will show me what the next step! For now I am going to continue taking it one day at a time, one thing at a time, and one step at a time. Now I'm off to cook dinner and have a relaxing evening with my son... Have a blessed evening all!

When I got divorced years ago - I went to a temp agency. They set me up at an office and that company ended up hiring me permanently. That may be a route for you to go. Good luck.

Sounds like you have a really positive attitude about everything. Good for you! I can't imagine what you are going through, but sending internet-hugs your way :)
