Do you think this will work?

Monday, February 25, 2013

I'm altering my eating plan a bit. Oh, I will still try to stick within ranges recommended by SP, of course, but I've been reading about wheat causing belly fat. Well, of course, that depends on where you carry most of the fat on your body.

It reminded me that years ago when I was diagnosed with food allergies, wheat was the main food I gave up. The weight fell off like magic! I bought rice or potato flour to cook with. I made oatmeal cookies with it. I bought rye crackers to have with soup. Now there are rice cakes, too.

I'll start slowly as I just bought a new loaf of my fav Healthy Life bread and buns as well.

I am also eating more low fat dairy. I found you can freeze the whipped style yogurt and eat it like ice cream! I'm adding a scoop of chia seeds to it.

I will let you know how it goes.

I have lots of dr appointments and tests coming up to see if I have TIA. I recently had a scary episode where I COULD NOT SPEAK! Terrifying (especially for a Toastmaster). The CT scan shows I have had strokes.

Life goes on, my attitude is positive. I will follow my inner guidance (ACIM team-you know what that is).

I also believe my fav quote by Abe Lincoln. It's on my signature and here on my page somewhere.

I am doing as I have advised others: repeating to myself often, "Every day in every way I'm getting better and better." That's by Emile Coue.

Have a wonderful week Spark Friends!

Because this is not a one size fits all program, tweaking it to do what is right for us is a great thing to do. I have tweaked my foods many times....Best of luck to you. Have a healthy day.

Thanks for sharing your new plan-listening to our bodies is what it is all about. I have found certain foods just don't work for me,either. I love your quotes & positive
outlook! Let us know how you are making out. It must have been very scary to have lost your voice! (hugs)

LOG every bite and get the right amount of exercise.....the pounds will fall off again. Only a doctor can tell you if you have a wheat allergy but if not eating makes you feel better, there are lots of other grains that are healthy and delicious. Hang in there!
