This is Coach Nicole's Total Body Sculpting DVD.

Most of you know me as a die hard exerciser. I am also a certified Gym Rat.
I have been attending the gym for over two years , usually five or six days a week.
When not at the gym or on days I can't make it I work out at home.

One day in December I heard a knock at the door and it was FedX with a package.
I opened it up to find this DVD from Spark. I was totally surprise. I hadn't been notified I was getting a exercise DVD. But the timing was perfect.

It was one of those days where I had too much work, not enough time. I was feeling guilty about leaving for a couple of hours to go to the gym. But my exercise time is very important to me, and I make time. Many days getting up at 5:00 am so I can work in my office then go to the gym at 8:30. get home at 11:00. My time working out leaves me feeling invigorated. but also rushed to make up for the time I have been gone.
When you have to shower, get dressed, pack your gym bag, drive to the gym, get to your locker, then your class or find a free machine, it takes time.
In the amount of time you are doing all that, you can slip a DVD into the player and do a workout .
If you are home you don't have to shower before exercise , only after. You are able to stop and answer calls if important. Look after the kids, or a sick family member.
Having some good workout DVD's makes exercising at home so convenient.

When it comes to Coach Nicole's workouts, they are for real people. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced, you will enjoy working out with her and the other two trainers.

This DVD has three parts. Bodyweight Burn, Barre Body Blast, and Sizzle-Sculpt. The complete workout is about 70 minutes. Each workout begins with a warm up and cool down of about 8 minutes.

The Barre Body workout (20 min) combines moves from Pilates, Yoga, ,moves that a dancer might do. That's where you use the chair. You can do this part bare foot.
The Bodyweight Burn, (22 min.) adds cardio, balance challenge, lots of leg toning, working on your core.
Sizzle Sculpt ,(19 min), is a nice blend of strength training using the dumbbells.
There is also a short 10 min. Power workout from Kristi Yamaguchi.

The only thing you need besides the DVD is a chair, and a pair of dumbbells.
I bought 3 lb ones at Walmart for under $6.00.
Or you can uses empty mike jugs filled with water , sand,or kitty litter. Anything to give them weight. Some use cans. I find them hard to hold . But you get the idea, some hand held weight for the muscle building segment.

Coach Nicole has planned custom workouts for each level of workout.
She has broken down the time to work on each segment.

Also in the little booklet you get some fantastic Spark recipes.
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, Black Bean Corn Salad and Three-Cheese macaroni. Just to list a few, they are other.

I took the DVD to a friends house to workout. She was baby sitting the grandkids during Xmas vacation. We had so much fun working out. Even the kids joined in. She wanted the DVD. I told her is was available at Target and on Amazon.
I went to Target and got her one for Xmas.

If you are a Spark member you get 250 point by buying one before February 28. 2013.

I now have this DVD and the earlier one, 28 Day Bootcamp. I use them often.
Since my weigh has gone from , 335 lbs to 144 lbs working out and building muscle has become a top propriety with me. When you lose fat you also lose muscle, it needs to be replace. You can build muscle. You just have to do strength exercise. Plus the more muscle you have the more fat you burn.
Use this DVD and you will see the results and feel like a different person.

At 71 years, I'll never be a body builder, but I am building muscle and using this DVD had contributed toward that. It keeps my heart rate steady and I have good leg tone and plenty of stamina foe the 5 and 10K's I do.

I close this blog with this thought.
" Everyday we have a chance to better our lives, by making good choices we can do just that."
Be strong, stay positive,
Tisha

You make this sound like the DVD I would like to have when I'm able to move just a little better and with less pain. I appreciate that someone my age does the thing. Good work losing the weight and WooHoo! Keeping It Off!

Nice job, Tisha! I love your attitude about exercise, and I heartily agree about how important it is to build muscle, no matter what one's weight or age happens to be. Being stronger makes life a bit easier. I tend to do better exercising outdoors or at a gym - I get too distracted at home, but, I like the option of knowing that if weather or circumstances don't permit my normal workouts, I can pop in a DVD and get to work. I love the saying about being "one good workout away from a good mood" - so true. emoticon

I have one of the older SP DVD's and I love it. Nothing in it gets old. Nicole is very charming and low key. I have owned several DVD's by actresses that get on my nerves with time, but not Nicole. Just love her! Glad you are so happy with yours too!
