I drank 48 oz of water before I even got home from work today. This challenge is motivating me to come up with more creative ways to get that water in. I drank 16 oz first thing this morning, and I took my cup to work with my 32 oz jug. I poured the water into the smaller cup and took it with me to my classes. I was surprised when I finished it! I haven't done that in a long time.
I plan to drink 16 more oz before I go to bed. I am working on stopping liquids by 9 pm so I won't have to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I also was reminded that I really need to keep those kegel exercises going (sorry if that's TMI). I forget how three kids makes your body have to work a little harder.
Anyway, my six year old loves running, and we have our 2nd annual Family Fitness Walk/run through my job. My daughter won first place for the girls in her age group last year. We told her she needs to train so she'll be ready this time. At first she said, " I don't need to do no training." My husband told her about being humble, and how she should come walk with me so she'll be ready. Then she said, " Yeah, I will do it. That boy cheated." Lol. There was a little boy that past her at the last minute. They didn't give medals to the first place kid, but to the first place boy or girl. My baby wants to win it all this year! She's such a competitor. Lol. So we went walking today. It's always nice when I can spend time with my kids one at a time. They really love the attention and we really get a chance to connect. Plus, they're angels when they get their one-on-one time! There's no one there to fight!
It's been a good day and I'm so grateful for the 5% challenge. One day at a time.
