Kindness from others

Monday, February 25, 2013

I am facilitating a team of visitors from my church. Our mission is to learn from other churches how they successfully created and maintain Praise Worship Services.

I contacted Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia, West Lawn UMC, First Presbterian in Reading, Good Shepherd UCC in Tuckerton, and Lincoln Park UMC. Pastors, worship leaders, and musicians answered 5 discussion questions that our pastors posed. They also contacted people in their church to make our visit more memorable. Trinity will have a member of the property committee to show us the chancel rail that can be removed and their flexible worship space.

Email flowed. I shared the email with my pastors and with my team. We visited one church so far. The senior pastor and praise band leader spent 1 hour with my team after they had 4 services that morning.

People of God wanted to share their gifts and help us develop our worship service also. This is an incredible experience.

We have deep gratitude and looking forward to meeting these people.

Great idea-visiting all those other churches. I'm sure you're learning all kinds of good things that may work for you.
