Curse you, tasty loaf!

Alright, alright, I know. It's been a very long time since I last logged in, even longer since I've recorded anything. Life gets busy for a part-time seamstress/herbalist/office assistant and full time mom of one (for the moment, anyway). But I thought I'd pop on after a post-shower weigh-in.
If you haven't heard, the majority of Kansas and the rest of the Plains are literally coated in feet of snow (not to be confused with feet of strength, which get smelly after a few days). How does this affect me? For most of the week, we've been stuck at home.
All of us.
Together in the same house.
Which means, since I am the one doing most of the Poopmonster hunting while dear, dear Beau watches TV, I haven't been able to 'relax.' Sure, I've gotten a lot of reading done while Poopmonster naps beside me, more reading while eating meals, and continuous reading during the Beau's intermittent 'Monster tickling. I could be sewing, but the Poopmonster is very helpful.
Where the heck are you getting at? you may ask. Why not nag your Beau to be more 'Monster-oriented? would be another relevant ponder. Is that egg in your hair? Okay, shut up. Just shut up.
With all this lying about, pouncing Beaus and nibbling toes ('Monster toes, not Beau toes. Ew.), there has been a lot of free time for my hands. Translation: I am freaking bored. And what do 9 out of 10 normally deranged apron fanatics do when bored? They eat, that's what (or THIS one does, anyway). Thus brings us around to my final point of the weight gain and possible gluten intolerance being experienced by my body at this veeeeerrry moment.
Gluten? Pah. Some of you will huff. Just a fad.
As it happens, me Mum is intolerant. Not that this stops her from eating the occasional cookie the Beau bakes (yes, I am a lucky woman), but she does watch a lot of what she eats. And I do too. Or did, anyway.
This past month and some have taken it's toll on my body. I've gained over 10 (TEN) pounds in two weeks (steadily rising), have a belly that hasn't shown itself since pregnancy over a year ago, and have become incredibly agitated again. And no, not pregnant. Just over-indulgent binging on tortillas, fresh bread, and, yes, cookies. All healthy whole grain. Wheat grain, that is.
So at this juncture, with all of you as my witness, I forgo any sort of wheat product (totally) for the next two weeks. Hopefully this will help with the weight problem, or at the least my viciousness.
And yes, I've just dropped the bottom out of this thing as I am feeling very well-vented now. Thank you, SparkCommunity.
