Setting a New Goal

Today I realized that I passed my last goal deadline without even a glance in the right direction. While I have lost about 10 pounds since early January (most of it holiday weight), I am still only about 10 pounds down from when I joined Spark just less than a year ago, and I weigh more now than my lowest with Spark. In early July 2012, just before my birthday I broke through the 300's to make it into Two-Town. I haven't visited Two-Town since, I have been quickly driving away from it.
I haven't figured out what it is that makes me do this. It must be some sort of fear... but I'm determined that it isn't going to happen again this time!!!
My new goal, as I realize that my 1 year SparkVersary is quickly approaching, is to make it to Two-Town again, and to plant roots there for a good little while, at least until One-derland comes along!! This is more than attainable! I have to lose 14 pounds in the next two months. It's Cake.. Oops, I guess Cake isn't going to help me here! emoticon
Anyway, I appreciate all of the help and support along the way. I don't want to make the last year mean nothing. 25 pounds lost in a year isn't much, but considering the rollercoaster ride of the last year, it's still a loss and I will take it.

    I have been going in the wrong direction myself and although I didn't make it to Twoterville (Two Town), I got really close. I just freaked out and ran back the other way. Now I am firmly focused on getting to Twoterville and we can do it together!

    You know I love you, so I say this with the best intentions possible...

Goals are great - Fantastic - even.

But just make sure you are still keeping an eye out for what triggers you to run in the "other" direction.

I know you have had your fair share of stress in the past year and then some! Maybe stress is a contributing factor? I'm sure it is. Make sure you figure out how to deal with your triggers, otherwise you will not be able to appreciate your hard work.

Do I doubt you? Not for an instant! :D

I just want you to be able to enjoy youself, and appreciate how awesome you are! emoticon

    Sometimes it's not just about losing the pounds. Perhaps this last year has been about getting your foundation laid. I can tell you from experience that the only way it works is consistency. I'm not saying no mistakes, but 9 out of 10 days we're on track with accurately tracked exercise and calories. You've got the tools and skills. Let's try to focus on day to day working the plan. And only weighing once a week.

    emoticon You are in good company!!! I'm approaching my first Sparkversary too!!! and I need to lose 6 pounds to get back to my lowest Spark weight last year. I'm working on it!!!! I see you are too!!!! Good for us!!!! emoticon

    Good goal!!! You CAN do that. I'm not sure what it is that clicks when it clicks, but once it does you are on your way.
