Staying on track!

Well Saturday I went out for an 8k run! My first since coming back and it felt great! No knee pain and honestly I felt better than I ever did before I stopped running due to my knee (mind you it was a slow 8k).
Yesterday was my day off and I had a great time spending time with my family and staying up to watch the Oscars.
Today I was super tempted to get off track with my plan and go out for a run but I talked myself out of it and did my elliptical training for 45 minutes and my strength training routine. Today has also been a really good day food wise. I had a healthy breakfast before heading out to run errands this morning and then had a giant sweet potato for lunch. Doing good!
Up for tomorrow is a 5k run and I'm going to try and push the speed a little bit and see if I can pull off a faster run since I have retained a lot more of the distance than I thought I would (I honestly thought I would have to spend a couple weeks working up to 5k, never did I think I would be able to go right back to the distance I was running before just slower).
