My Mom passed away on Feb 2, 2008.
Today, just a bit more than five years from her death, I get a letter from american express saying for er to contact them about issues with her credit at the credit bureause. Of course they give no pone number, just to write them
So I am running around showing hubby what is going on
I took care of everything on her account via their team who deals with customers who are deceased and everything was settled fair and square sadly though all that paperwork is in storage. Figured that after 2 years and accounts closed there was no need for me to have it at my side anymore
So I tried going to their website and went into her account. Oh my gosh. there is was. A bill for 97..71 there are trying to collect Went though all the year end statements, and zero balalnce since 2009. Now this shows up and no information i is given .
Call American express and tell them what is going on. They tell me I have to call a different number. Called it three times to get to different departmentsl First two say I have to send everything in. Third dept, which I tried twice, I get a recording saying no one was there to take my call
So now the blood pressure is up and I am just wondering WHAT NEXT
