Odds and ends

We got our new TV and I am not impressed with it! Why do people think it is so great to get a wide distorted picture that has the tops and bottoms cut off? So you buy a bigger screen and then have a black frame around the top and bottom so you get a short squatty picture. This is ridiculous!! Plus looking at this head on it's ok but look from the sides and the pic is awful. I am wishing for the old models back and I love when they format them to match the TV.

I had to go out and buy my Mom a birthday card today as I forget to bring the one I had bought her from home. Her birthday is on the 28th and I had hoped to get this mailed today but I forgot to bring the pen with me so I ended up bringing it here and will have to mail it tomorrow. I really thought we had a pen in the van but who knows where it is. Ahhhh, that's another senior moment.

I did do good this morning and started off with my exercises but then we went out to eat and although I ate the right stuff, I think I ate too much of it. My husband's hip is really bothering him (I think it's going to rain) and if there is one thing that takes your mind off of pain, it's eating. That's why I took him out to eat. At least for an hour he forgot how much he hurt and instead concentrated on his food. I don't know why this works but it sure does. I remember when I had shingles and the pain was so bad I would just want to cry all the time. When he took me out to eat, the pain was so bearable for that short time that I was able to get a break.

Here's hoping that tomorrow is a better day for my hubby.
Tonight is the Biggest Loser and I'm looking forward to it!

A quick thought for your husband's pain: My husband & I take turmeric for inflammation and it works so well for us. Just take a mug of warm milk, add 1 tsp of turmeric, a dash of black pepper (it helps with absorption) and sweetener of your choice if needed. We drink this 2 to 3 times a day and it has been a blessing.

I have knee and shoulder issues and it's gotten me off a cane completely! My husband has shoulder issues as well and after 3 years of pain he finally has full use of his arm again.

I am lucky that I haven't upgraded to one of those new fangled flat screens yet! I like my tv just fine, thank you very much. LOL

I am always forgetting stuff. Today I forgot to deposit a check, so I have to do it tonight.

If you think you ate too much good stuff, try putting it in your tracker. It will tell you if you did. :-)

I think I need more coffee....I'm still at work and not quite sure when I am leaving.

I'm sorry that the TV has got you boiling...you'll get used to the smaller size screen, I think it's a plot to drive us nutty!!
