I am learning so much about things on SparkPeople. I know about exercise and nutrition but I have been introduced to 'positive affirmations'. Growing in knowledge pleases me.
Yesterday went for a 20 mile run/walk. The goal was to run 10m and then run/walk 10m. I felt okay until mile 9 and then I could begin to feel the flag setting in. I managed to complete the goal but it was a struggle. I was really happy to get the 10 miles finished. On the run/walk I had it 10 minute running and 1 minute recovering. After about 2 miles I realized that I needed to run less or recover more or both. So I reset to 5:1. But as they say - the rot was in and that lasted for maybe 2 miles. So, when I am tired - everything is wrong - I need new shoes, I need to change the return route, it's too hot - I'm just cantankerous. So, I sat down for about 3 minutes. This is with 3 miles to go. Wasn't feeling it and decided to just walk briskly to the end. I was ready to finish. At the gym, I stretched and bathed and went to work.
My calorie control has been very suspect the last 4 days. I've got to get my willpower and excitement back. I need some positive affirmations. I need one (or a couple for this occasion). I'm off to create my positive affirmations.
