Ah the best laid plans... out the window they went again. :)
My wife and I attended a Linkin Park concert last Thursday. It involved a trip to Auckland and an overnight stay with a friend. It was supposed to be "dinner and a show" but turned into "dinner and a show and 4 hours drinking cocktails in a karaoke bar".
So no doubt a few billion cals were consumed that night thanks to the cocktails and the beef steak & Cheese pie I bought on the way home. I was starving as dinner had been 8 hours earlier. This is one of the big problems with not getting head-to-pillow at a reasonable time!
The pie was disgusting, but it tasted soooo damn good. You know what I mean.
So with the lack of sleep, cocktails and pie you can imagine that my diet was messed up.
We managed to be very sensible with everything else so it ended up not being too bad. And we did manage to burn off some cals walking from the venue to the bar which was a good 35mins away.
I've managed to recover from the lapse but it, yet again, has highlighted how 1 day (or night) can ruin a whole week of work. But soldiering on, I've just passed my 20kg weight loss mark so that is a big mental boost.
