My husband saw his pyschiatrist today and she told him he needed to lose weight! When even the pyschiatrist is telling you that, it's time to get moving. It would be so wonderful to have him on the same page as me....would make life so much easier. So, when he gets home we're going to discuss how we're going to do this and hopefully we can make something work. Neither one of us likes to cook so we've been eating out a lot ... which I know has to stop. He's always hungry and I don't know what to do about that....when he says he's hungry, I'm sure he's not physically hungry but emotionally hungry, He's not at all interested in fruits and veggies which makes it really hard. I know he's got to change his mindset too and that's what we're both going to be working on.

How about an appointment with a dietician? If your husband is overweight, his family doctor would probably recommend it. Maybe you could both get some good ideas about preparing easy healthy meals at home, and ways to prepare vegetables that might convince your husband to try them.

Try eating out just once a week for the next month. Chances are you'll both feel better at the end of that time. Sure, it takes more time to cook, but think of the money you'd save.

It won't be easy, but even small changes would be a step in the right direction. emoticon
