I have read a lot of articles on the benefits of drinking water, but this article does a fairly good job of hitting all the high points.

Bottom line, most of us simply don’t drink enough water for optimum good health. We should be striving for at least 8 glasses a day, according to most sources. For me, I think the most important reason for drinking water, is the fact that it helps me feel full and that helps me eat less. This article mentions that along with 11 other benefits. I especially appreciated the reminder that a glass of water helps boost productivity and makes you more alert. I also think I missed the memo that drinking more water can help alleviate pain, since aching joints and muscle cramps and strains all occur if the body is dehydrated. What does it say about me that I am more interested in this water factoid than the one about how water helps cure a hangover… Alas, I guess that officially marks me for the aging Baby Boomer that I am. Goodness knows, things could be worse!

All in all, water is a good thing.
