Week four

Monday, February 25, 2013

I lost 2 lbs! Totaling 8lbs since i started. Week three was one of the easiest so far and i know i've said this before but it really does just keep getting easier, especially when people ask if i want sweets or some unhealthy kind of food, i can easily say no now ( i never could see the day!) I exercised 4 days last week, three days on the elliptical for 30 mins plus stretching and a few muscle stuff, and the other day roughly two hours of belly dancing. I am really enjoying bellydancing, even though I'm still new and getting used to it. It's very difficult! haha, i'm still learning to move each of my body parts separately from one another lol. I did slip up with food on Saturday a little which made me a little nervous.
So, i live with my dad and he just retired two days ago. We live in a little apartment and i have to keep my elliptical in the living room. Since Dad will be home all day, i'm a little worried to have to workout in front of him, i just think it's a little weird is all, and someone please tell me if this thought process is normal or not lol. But I really like to workout hard and sweat a lot, sing out loud, pump my music, but by him being home kind of puts a damper in my plans. Don't get me wrong Im a daddies girl and i love him to death, but he needs to get out of the house don't ya think? I mean I definitely still plan on working out whether he's in the living room with me or not, but it's weird right?

I think you'll get used to it and it won't be so weird if you're working out regularly in front of him. emoticon on your weight loss though and your NSVs!!!

One meal/day of making a mistake does not have to derail all your progress. Review what lead to you making those choices and learn from it, then move on. If you had given up and said 'well this isn't going to work' and went back to your old habits things would've gotten worse, but getting right back to it allows you to continue progressing. It wasn't 1 meal or 1 day of eating unhealthy foods that got you to where you were, it came from hundreds or thousands of meals of overeating and focusing on unhealthy habits.

Ask yourself, what makes it uncomfortable? That might help you figure out how to make it feel more comfortable/natural. You could also consider talking to your father about it and find out his thoughts. You might even encourage him to workout with you, doing his own thing. Or you could suggest a schedule so he can find an activity to do during your workout time.

You will get use to it and I am sure he will not mind you sweating.
