Struggling...Been on a plateau for 3 weeks...

Monday, February 25, 2013

I am struggling with my weight as of these past 3 weeks as I have been going up a fair amount.

As of Friday morning I was up over 3 pounds...and for the past 3 weeks I have averaged a point eight gain accept for Friday and I know what caused me to gain on Friday.

You see...Mom and I have had to endure so much over the last two months regarding her cancer diagnosis and subsequent hospital stay and I have had to rely on frozen smart ones meals as I do not use the stove to cook.

But, luckily that is turning around as I just yesterday bought at the grocery some healthy foods such as grilled talapia fillets, pork chops, green beans (canned), canned carrots, cubed steaks (for mom) and also some fruit (apples and clementines).

And then there is the run around we are getting from her doctors.

Her plasticsurgeon and the vascular surgeon do not see eye to eye on her care as the vascular suregon is scheduling all kinds of appointments and not telling us and then also the vascular surgeon also does not like the oncologist we have chosen for her care.

What happened to doctors that actually CARED about a patient's well being?.

Am I going to go through this same s**t like I did with my stepfather 7 years ago?.

I am truly pissed off right now.

So sorry you are both navigating the medical care maze, it is very difficult! I think you picked out healthy food and that will help you both with your weight and with stress.
