A recap, of the past week has highs and lows, with the lows, taking the lead.
So what happened? emoticon

I ate well, 90% of the time and stayed within, my calorie range. Not bad. emoticon

Worked out emoticon and then......injuries! Not from the workouts, mind you, but cleaning out the tool shed!!

Lifted too heavy, torn chest muscle, messed up my thumb(both recurring problems) and needed to tweak my workouts to accommodate.

So that should do it, right? Yoga, light lifting, walking, crunches and the like. Maybe, but,

Next... STRESS! Got a boatload and while I pride myself on my positive attitude and calm nature, it did still get to me.
Had several nights of little sleep, foggy brain, I got dizzy on 4 occasions and insult to injury, got dehydrated, on Friday, with too long between eating. (My fault, entirely)
I looked and felt lousy, had little energy and what I dread the most..... emoticon .
Bloated and bigger than the week before!
Really? Argg!

I even had lots of computer, office work and my butt feels 3 inches bigger, after sitting in the chair, so long. emoticon

So this week, I am focusing on this part of my board.

One... Bye-bye stress! See "me" gardening! The best of therapy, for this girl. I am hitting my yard and burning calories, while getting things ready for Spring. Digging in the dirt and pruning...all Zen activities, that will calm and workout at the same time! A win win! Not to mention the flowers and vegetables to come, later!

See that good healthy food full of antioxidants? Another help for stress and feeling better.
Fruit, vegetables, lean protein and a bit of dark chocolate! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Tea... green tea, herbal tea, soothing, no caffeine. emoticon
What else? WATER!!!!!! emoticon and lots of it! I do not do well at all, without enough. Dizzy is a scary thing. Wrinkles? Who needs them. Foggy brain....not helpful, bloating, well you know how I feel about that! emoticon

We get to the hips and the measuring tape. I need to concentrate on my hips! They are out of control! Time to move, move and move, some more. Speed skating, workout, but also, all those skiing moves! Winter Olympic energy! Pretend I am doing Moguls, without all the Knee banging!
It also says on the board. THIS IS THE YEAR!!! Yes, it is! I am not forgetting that, even with the set backs.
SO what is left, on this section of board?

CONFIDENCE! Yes! It is building, the more I write this. The more I share. The more I take ACTION! (Remember that from my last blog?)

Then, at the very bottom, right.....ACCOMPLISHMENT...RIS

I will accomplish these goals, I will conquer, not only the clutter in my home, but the clutter in my brain! Why let stress live there? Time to box it up and send it to the trash bin.
I will fill my home with simplicity, and a healthy atmosphere. My brain, I will fill, with positive self talk, solutions and prayer!

IMPROVISE, OVERCOME AND ADAPT! This is my motto in life.

I am ready for this week and doing better than last week.
Just like the bikes on my board, it is time to hop on, pedal like crazy and move towards my goals. I will love every minute of my journey, for I will learn from my mistakes and keep on going.

THE TIME IS NOW! emoticon

We all have up and down weeks Chris but yours even out! I think you do really well my friend!
Even when you have injuries you figure out different ways to exercise where some of us would just let it ride!
And you eat properly!
You're going to have a great week Chris, I know it!!
