STOP BATTLING TIME
Just because we are focused on doing God’s work doesn’t mean it will always be that way. Distractions are powerful and can come in the form of temptations. We may be tempted to stop whatever we are doing and go the wrong direction. Distractions and temptations can overtake us to the point where we want to be like everyone else and we are tired of struggling. When we have to struggle to please God we are trying too hard to do things on our own. We are wasting time by struggling to do things on our own. We need to stop battling time. Living for God should simply be giving Him control of our lives.
Romans 7:23 “But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, help us today to stop battling time and struggling about what we want to do for You. We know if we are struggling then we aren’t letting go. Help us to let go and let You take control so that our time will be used as You want. Show us what to do today so we aren’t distracted or tempted from doing Your will. Help us to know that we can’t be like everyone else and serve You, too. We put our trust and hope in You today, Lord. In Jesus name. Amen.
We can decide today if we want to be a slave to the world or a obedient to God.
When we struggle to get things done, we should let go and let God take control.
Battling time and fighting against what we should be doing isn’t letting God be in be in charge of our lives.
Romans 8:9 “But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)” (NLT)
