Wacky week!

Monday, February 25, 2013

It has been an off-the-wall busy week and I cannot believe the weekend is over already. Jeepers.

To start off, I got an estimate (2 actually) to fix my car and , with all that needed to happen, it turned out to be a choice of between spending somewhere around $8+ thousand dollars to repair the existing vehicle (replacing the engine, transmission, and part of the electrical) or put half that down on a new car. As much as I didn't want to have car payments, it was the lesser of 2 evils. So, needless to say, I have a new vehicle and car payments for the next 6 years. The positive is that I now have a very reliable vehicle that is guaranteed to work for the next 10 years.

The other thing that happened was that the fridge died and I had to purchase a new fridge, as well. It is the last thing I needed, but I have to be able to keep my food fresh and safe, so that was a non-call.

Despite the stress from everything going on, it was a good week program and weight wise. I joined the Y and used the facility twice this week. I also lost another 4 pounds. My only worry is that I am losing weight too fast because I have lost 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Is that too much?

congradulation on the new car, new fridge, new weight loss. 10 pounds in 3 weeks is a little fast, butonly if that rate continues. I bet it won't. early weight loss in a new diet is mostly water, but i can remember times that i cut down on drinking or fast foods and 10 pounds just seemed to vanish overnight. the next 10 took longer. emoticon
