Gym Fun

Gym time is becoming more regular, but not nearly regular enough. I'm not getting in enough walking, but I'm getting in more and more. 2 weeks and I should be able to run. Cycling? Not sure. Depends on the strength in the shoulder. I have to control the bike.

I have a game I play on the stationary bike at the gym. I have a playlist with Junior Brown, Bill Kirchen, Southern Culture on the Skids, the Nicky Kay Orchestra (way cool surf/rockabilly/country inspired instrumentals), and Lords of the Highway (psychobilly at its best). For slow songs, I keep the cadence between 70 and 80 rpm, medium songs between 80 and 90, and fast songs over 90 rpm. Not that big of a deal, but after the wasted fall and early winter, it is a fun way to start building.

The strength training is starting to require heavier weights. It has been ages since I've done strength training, so I had to start at ridiculously low weights just to remember what to do. The muscles are now starting to scream for more weight. This is good.
