Week 8 review:
The fitness routine is going well. The classes during the week keep me focused as I am unlikely to miss them. On other days, I find ways to work out or take a walk. I did at least a 30 minute walk each of 6 days. On most days I did much more.
The nutrition routine is still my challenge. I am happy that I incorporated more fruits and vegetables plus healthy snacks. I ate too much on Wed, Friday, and Sunday. On Wed. it was mostly due to an after swim mini-binge. On Friday I let loose b/c the rest of the week seems a little too regimented. On Sunday I just found too many baked goods at my home, my mom's home, and my aunt's home. My weekly average was a tad too high. I need to watch these kind of situations next week.
The TV was on less than last week, so I'm happy with that.
Because it takes about a month to form new habits, I'm going to work on last week's goals some more.
Go to swim class M/W
--W done and it is feeling more natural again.
Go to bootcamp class Tu/Th
At least a 30 minute walk on two days between Friday-Sunday
I want to watch less TV:
On Monday & Thursday evening I will read, sing, dance, house-clean, respond to (e)mail...anything but turn on the TV.
--M shifted to Tu
--Tu was tough until my honey got home. I was lonely. I did some online training and reading and made it a productive evening. The only issue is I grazed a bit much. I was frustrated by being alone and I took it out in grazing. No TV, though.
--W the tv went out early because stuff wasn't clicking
--Th. It was fun to interact with my honey w/o the tv. He really likes it and I feeler better connected to each other.
I want to eat less baked goods:
Limit baked goods to at most one serving a day, at the end of the day, less than 200 C. on Five days of the week.
--M had chips as a treat, and post swim consumption was only tens of calories instead of hundreds over
--Tu in the hours b4 honey got home I grabbed some chips and brittle and other treats. My one treat turned into several.
--W Ate too much after swimming, but I was hungry and it was only one thing, not a bunch of grazing and no sweets.
--T I had girl scout cookies, and chocolate chip cookies and I brought take out home. It was a big mess
--F I went to the chili burger place that is next to the gas station and I got the combo
Pack two fruit/whole grain + fat/protein snack a day to keep the sweets out of my tummy at least 6 days of the week
--M healthy snacks
--W if I bring the fruit, I eat it, and my lunch always has veg.
--Th Lots of fruit
--Fri Lots of fruit and salad for lunch
