Good food, good fitness, good weekend

All is well! It's Day 2 of the 5% challenge, and I really needed this. After a lackadaisical December and a January of recovering from some unhealthy decisions, I needed a new focus. This is it!
Yesterday, I got my fitness minutes in with yoga. (On a side note, I am teaching summer school this year for the first time in 8 years. My classes? Four hours of tae kwon do for the first two weeks, and four hours of yoga for the second two-week session. Holy cow, am I going to be sweating!) Today, I went sledding on this huge hill near our neighborhood with my hubby, kids, and Malamute. Trucking up and down that hill was work! My booty is sore already.
As for nutrition, today I was within calorie limits. The only bummer is that I hit my limit at 6:00. Sure, I'm stil full from my amazing steak dinner with roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes. I'm just hoping that I'll still be full at 9:00.
Yesterday, however, I happily admit that I was over my calorie limit. The reason? Date night! DH and I went out to dinner for the first time since...last fall? I don't even remember. At any rate, it was a reason to indulge: lemon-seared scallops, herbed orzo with roasted butternut squash...I even willingly ate the orzo and fresh baked bread after seven days with no wheat products, a decision that I made with logic and no guilt. It was a wonderfully delicious meal and a lovely evening out.
I'm off to a good start. Thank you, Starfish, for bringing it!!
