This morning DH wanted to go to Golden Corral, and I decided, why not. I was a little short on calories yesterday, and knew i'd eat light the rest of the day, so as long as I didn't go crazy, I'd be fine. Man, I forgot how insanely GREASY that food is! I got home and spent 20 minutes in the bathroom (no gallbladder+greasy food=bad news). I would have much rather had the same food (bacon, eggs, etc) at home, where I can properly drain the fat, I can counter the fat with fresh fruit, etc. I don't trust the fruit at the buffet because half of it is canned and soaking in corn syrup, and the other half I can't trust wasn't crosscontaminated with the pineapple which I'm allergic to.
After how sick that made me feel, I appreciated my fresh afternoon meal of strawberries, bruschetta panini, and lemon water. I bought a great cherry balsamic vinegar at the winter farmer's market and it sure was great on that panini.
