We made it to the grocery store. I had printed out a helpful list of Paleo-friendly foods and bought:
-celery, cauliflower, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, a bunch of spinach, and a big bag of salad mix
-apples (two types!), grapes, strawberries, bananas
-chicken breast (not organic. I'm honestly not too worried about the whole meat being organic thing, and we can't afford it)
-a small baked ham
-individual servings of turkey and chicken lunchmeat to toss on salads (again... I'm being kind of lenient on the meat front. I don't really eat much of it as it is.)
-natural walnuts and almonds
-organic almond butter
-coconut oil, balsamic vinegar, and EVOO
-egg beaters (we already had eggs)
-Larabars! I'd never had them. They were on sale 10/$10 so I bought 10. Split half of one with Chloe- it was yummy!
possibly a few other items I forgot to mention. all in all, I think it was pretty good for the first trip. We have fish in the freezer and I'll buy more next time... :)
