IUI Tomorrow

So for those of you who know me, i'm sorry i've been away for so long. For those of you who don't, i'll share my story. My husband and I have been trying for 2 years for our first, in Dec we just started going to a fertility specialist. in addition to the infertility we have had 2 miscarrages. This cycle we are doing an IUI. I am on clomid as well as today I had to give myself an injection of Ovidrel. I never thought i'd be able to give myself a shot, but it really wasn't that bad. and this is coming from someone who hates needles. Tomorrow at 8 am we go for our first IUI. We are going to try 3 cycles total. I'm praying that this works because we do not have IVF coverage. Are there any success stories out there? Would love to hear them...keep us in your prayers.

    Guicci, thanks!! and yeah don't give up. i also have had 2 miscarriages and years of infertility...but not giving up...even tho some days you feel like it!

    Good luck! We went in for 2-3 IUIs but unfortunately they were never comfortable with the quality of the sperm so we never actually had one. I wish you the best.

    so i had the IUI done...however, when i went in and had the ultrasound prior to the IUI. the doc said that it looked like i had ovulated this morning/or late last night. However, he did the IUI anyway saying there was still a chance. He said they prefer to do it before you ovulate...so now i'm worried the chance of success is even less...he said but now he knows for next time that i ovulate early but in the same breathe he said hopefully i call him in 2 weeks with good news......i know i need to relax and stay calm but this is going to be the hardest 2 weeks of my life.

    You are in my prayers. My husband and I just had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and it would have been our first child. We are not giving up ~ good luck emoticon

    Hi there, sorry to hear about your troubles with conceiving. My husband and I also did fertility after having a miscarriage and unable to conceive for 3 years after. I never actually got to shots or anything. After a while we gave up on it because I was tired of continuously going for blood work, ultrasounds, tests, etc. So a month after we gave up on fertility we actually got pregnant. It then took us another 2 years to have my now 3 month old son. I know it's not really a success story as to using IUI but i wanted to share that you should never give up and have faith. It can happen without help. Good luck!!
