MY STORY

Sunday, February 24, 2013

When I was 17, I weighed 155 pounds. After 5 children and 3 marriages, I was up to 262 pounds on January 7, 2008, which was my highest weight ever. My joints hurt everytime I move and I get out of breathe real easy. I know that all this is caused by my weight. At least, I can say, thank goodness, that I do not have any health issues except my weight. Once I get my weight down, I know that I will feel so much better both physically and mentally. Staying motivated to do so is the hardest part of losing weight but I know I can do it.

I completely agree with you. Staying motivated is the hardest part. I have given up way too many times. I know that I can do it this time and you can too. If you ever need any extra motivation let me know.

I have to agree with everyone here. You CAN do it! I did it and if I did anyone can. I weighted 120 lbs all through high school and college right up until my first pregnancy at 31. Had to go on bedrest for 6 months and gained 85 pounds. Two more pregnancies and more weight and tried many diets after without success. At 57 I weighed about the same and then started noticing weight loss without trying. A trip to my primary and I was diagnosed with DM. Diet changes and exercise and I am now down 90 pounds and boy, does it feel so good!!

You can do it!! We are all here for support, help and advice!!

Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing!!

emoticon It seems to me that it has to be mind over body, so every day we have a choice, whether we want to eat healthy or eat junk and exercise at least 10 min. or not. I chose to choose good health and I know that you will too! emoticon

The hardest thing is patience and determination. This is a One Day At a Time Journey and it does take a long time. One step at a time. One choice at a time. That all sounds easy but it is not - it takes a commitment on your part to take care of yourself.
