There Is No Finish Line So Love The Journey

Sunday, February 24, 2013

I'm working towards becoming the healthiest I can be and somewhere along the way I realized that in order to keep the momentum and the successes, I have to keep doing the same things that got me there. Be open to change, refining my skills, newer, improved, eating habits and different foods. I am already researching maintenance because I need time to get in that mindset. I've discovered that maintenance is exactly what I've been doing lately; making smart choices and tracking my water and nutrition. I can do this!

I agree, it is a mindset change. From ignoring feelings or stuffing them with food to nurturing your body with healthy foods; from the couch to the world of movement; from despair and self hatred to hope and learning to love yourself. Basically a whole new way of thinking and living!
I am not even near maintenance but want to take all I am learning about myself and life with me into my future self. It's by witnessing all of my fellow sparklets' struggles and accomplishments that I am actually learning the most.
Good luck! And you won't need those old, larger sized clothes ever again!!!

Nice words about your sustain plan. Being able to enjoy today, right now, is wonderful. I am challenged by this, but when I make time, life is...better.

I've often said that the more you can learn to love the journey, the better you'll be able to maintain your achievements.
