Scotland the Brave!

Mum and I in the walled gardens at Cambo House in Fife.

My hubby and I had a lovely visit to the East Neuk of Fife and Edinburgh - 2 days of beautiful sunshine and then 3 days of icy winds straight from Siberia! We wrapped up warmly and walked along the Fife Coastal Path, even breaking into a light run now and again! The sea air was delicious and the views as lovely as ever. Mum was in fine fettle and amazingly alert at 84 - she puts it down to having done yoga for 30 years and eating small amounts of healthy food often, as well as indulging in the odd glass of red wine and delicate portions of expensive chocolate!
Food-wise I managed to keep to my plan most days, though I could´nt resist ordering a ginger and lime ice cream pudding at David Bann´s restaurant on our evening out in Edinburgh - it was worth every calorie though!
Got home on Friday evening and waited until this morning to reluctantly sidle up to the bathroom scales - but then joy, joy, joy - I had´nt put on a single gram! Now I am feeling relieved as well as rested!
