I'm keeping a low profile today. I hate getting my taxes done. It always puts me in a really bad mood and all out of sorts. We haven't done our own for a while. We lost both my MIL (recently) and FIL (a few years back). It's taken quite some doing to get the estate settled since we live in a different state. Then there were mistakes in filing taxes on the estates part which caused us months of grief with the IRS. It's been a nightmare! I'm glad that we're financially stable - assuming the sequestration doesn't cost me my job, I am a contractor in the Dept. of Defense - but it's always hard to go through it. I'm just glad we've got a decent guy to help us file. Our returns look like a nightmare! It's not a bad problem to have and I'm most certainly not complaining. I just get all out of whack! I'd much rather have my family back. Okay, I guess I'm just rambling a little. It seems like lots of people have blue times throughout the year and this is mine.
Anyway, on to better things! Since we were on the go for most of the day, I didn't have much choice other than to eat on the run. We skipped the fast food joints and at least ate at a sit down restaurant where I chose the simple grilled chicken with sweet potato fries. I know, the fries aren't the best; but I didn't eat them all and thoroughly enjoyed the portion I did eat. So, I think it was a reasonable compromise. Not perfection; but progress!
I've got to run! I still need to check out fitness minutes for today for the team and I'm past my computer time. Shh... don't tell on me.
Here's the message I'm sharing for today. I think it was a reminder I needed to hear.
Spark on my friends!
