I signed up for my 1st 10k walk last week! Proceeds benefit the Arizona Schools for the Deaf and Blind. My niece is deaf, and she said that me doing this makes her feel special!! :) I thought this would be a good way to motivate me to start walking so that I could get ready for it and get back into exercising, b/c it's been over a month since I last went to the gym. It is two weeks from today, but I haven't even started training yet! :( But I DID start eating very healthy on Monday (5 days ago), and I've lost 2.5#!
I'm going to kick off the walking tomorrow by going to the Desert Museum in Tucson. My friend Camille offered me a free ticket. I love it! Can't wait to watch the raptor show and see the cute little otters swimming around. YAY! I'm excited.
Also, I purchased a binder, dividers, and a matching spiral notebook (journal) to keep all my SparkPeople stuff in! Articles, goals, motivation, food and exercise tracking, calendars, "goal met" stickers, etc. Yeah!! So much fun!
