Little by little...

My body hurts. I just came back from Jiu Jutsu and my neck hurts. I took Alleve and hopefully the ache diminishes somewhat. But on the bright side, it looks like I may still be losing after getting off my 3-4 week plateau - albeit slow - 1 lb from last Saturday to this Saturday. It may not seem like a lot to some, but I'll be ecstatic if it holds up for my weigh-in on Monday.

And just as importantly, I went to work in some trousers that I hadn't worn in two weeks and, believe it or not, at times I had to keep my hands in my pockets when I was walking so that they wouldn't slip down - the belt was at its last notch and there was still room to cinch it up. I didn't realize that they were that loose when I went to work that morning - good thing that I sit in an office.

I went and tried on some of the clothes that I put away "just in case" I went down a size or two and selected some to wear for next week.

Believe it when folks say you may be losing inches even though you may not be losing weight. Also, if you're on a plateau and you're following your program, be patient and stick with it - you'll be glad you did!

  Good for you. You're absolutely right that sometimes our clothes fit better even though we are not losing weight. Muscle and fat weigh the same, but we all know that muscle is much more compact. You're on the right track.
