I have joined the 5% Winter into spring challenge. I am in maintenance but I feel I needed this challenge to hold me accountable. As you well know, it has been well documented,

I am struggling with exercise. You have to post your exercise minutes everday for this challenge. The concept behind the challenge is your fitness minutes equal air miles. Each week your team goes to a different exotic country. This week we are flying to Russia. The first team, there are 11 to land in Russia wins. It is 6,671 miles from Mexico City where we took off from. That means 6,671 minutes of exercise by the team. I have to exercise, I can't let my team down. I am a team player, I can say that much about me. Going back to the pool will be good for 120 minutes. That is the limit. You have to drag me out of the water because the pool is heated and it is cold when you get out. Really, I have been told to get out, I have been in there too long. It is still a mystery why I have had a hard time going, I blame the cold outside.
We also have what is called living the good life. Each week you are given a different challenge that you do. This week we have to drink a maximum of 10 glasses of water. You get a point for each glass you drink. At the end of the week, we will see which team drank the most water. I am a

Go Starfish.
Saturday is weigh in day. Don't ask me how by I lost a little over 3 pounds since last week. I went from 131.9 to 128.4. With high sodium eating and not eating fruit I don't understand it. Gary was here yesterday and he said I looked like I have lost more weight. I denied it. I haven't seen him in almost a month. When I weighed myself today, sure enough. I don't get it.

Of course this is not written in stone. These are all resources that I have at hand. Days can change. Exercise can change but hopefully each exercise will get done during the week. I use to jump rope all the time as a kid. I didn't think I would have to relearn how to do it.
I pledged 1,000 fitness minutes for the month of February on the teams that I run. I am only closing in on 500 now and it is almost the end of the month. I know, I am not going to say hopefully, I know I know I know that my numbers will greatly improve next month.
Are any of you doing the 5% challenge? This is my second one. Last time I lost 4.62% not quite 5%. What about you?
