Post tummy tuck operation

Saturday, February 23, 2013

I am sitting here 10 day post op. It was a hard road to get here. Days 1-4 were awful. I hurt so bad. I didn't want to do much of anything. Getting up and down was very painful. I stayed heavily medicated on Dimarol (sp) and still hurt. Day 5--7 things started getting a little better. Day 8 I tried returning to work but was only able to make it half a day. Day 9 only worked half a day again. Day 10 today I am sitting at a restaurant typing this. Today is the first day I have felt like getting out. Actually put on a pair of jeans today. I have been out about an hour and starting to hurt some. Going to finish my meal and go home.

I would do it all over again. I expected the pain and expected to be uncomfortable for a period of time. I still have a long road ahead of me. It has made such a difference in the appearance of my body. I am extremely happy. I am posting a before and after below. The before pictures are not immediately before but rather near the beginning of my weight loss journey.

Thanks for all your nice and supportive comments. Every day I get a little bit better. Doc says I should be running as normal at 3 months. As of Monday I was back at work full time. I was a little tired but nothing unbearable.

Wow! You look great after only such a short time!!!! I'm shocked! Wow, I still looked like a train wreck at this point! But, I had SO much bruising from the lipo...I was purple for a longgggggg time.
The memory of the pain will fade but the results will live on!!!! Enjoy them!
Don't push yourself so hard, you don't want to go backwards in your recovery. I did that and lost a whole week of healing. emoticon

I can't believe you got into jeans (or even wanted to- for that matter! lol). I loved being able to live in sweats and pajamas for a while!
Happy healing, my friend! You look amazing!!!!!!!
Sorry I've been out of touch! I feel bad!
