I fell asleep in my recliner last night before 9 PM. It had been a long day. I deliberately got to the office at 5:45 AM (to avoid having to drive in the freezing rain which was predicted to start at 6 AM). I succeeded in this. At 9:15 I gingerly made my way across a sheet of ice to my car. There I had the challenge of removing close to 1/2 inch of ice from the windows. I am fortunate to have a defrost feature which helped with both the windshield and back window. However, the side windows took more effort. Fortunately, traffic was heavy enough that the roads were not that slippery. At each stop until 1 PM, there was ice to transverse. My last stop was a new patient with huge complications. I was there for 3 hours. Overall, I had worked a 13 1/2 hour day. I know it is not the healthiest but I eat a protein bar in the car between patients. At the end of this, after I got home and ate, my body knew what I needed was sleep. I woke up in my chair at 1:30 AM today and went to bed where I slept another 5 hours.

Wow! Long day. I am happy to hear that you didn't suffer a fall. I remember falling several times on ice when I lived in the north. OUCH!
